Protectmyquote gives an indicative price-range comparison for common home improvement jobs, based on published 2026 UK trade-cost guides, and — for £1.99 — a personalised report of questions to ask and things to check before you agree to a quote.

Price ranges are indicative only. Actual fair pricing for your job depends on exact specification, materials, labour, access, property condition and local market conditions, which QuoteCheck cannot fully assess from a short form. Always use your own judgement, and where the amount involved is significant, consider getting an independent professional opinion before agreeing to any contract.
The initial price-range comparison is free to use. We don't require you to create an account, and we don't ask for your name or address to provide it.
The full Quote Protection Check report costs £1.99 (inc. VAT where applicable), paid securely via Stripe. On successful payment, your report is generated and shown to you immediately/on the confirmation page.
Refunds and your right to cancel: the report is a piece of digital content that is delivered to you immediately once payment completes. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, your normal 14-day right to cancel a digital-content purchase ends once delivery begins, provided you've given express consent to that and acknowledged you'll lose the right to cancel.
Outside of that, if the report fails to generate after a successful payment due to a fault on our side, contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] and we'll fix it or refund you.
The price range and report are only as accurate as the answers you give us. If you enter the wrong job type, quote amount, or region, the comparison shown won't be reliable.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
The Protectmyquote name, logo, and the text, design and code of this website belong to us or our licensors. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial use only.
We may update these terms, the pricing engine's data, or the service itself at any time. Continuing to use QuoteCheck after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you keep any additional protections your local consumer law gives you, and can bring a claim in the courts of the country you live in.
